Ben Goertzel sent an email to Jeffrey Epstein on January 22, 2013, introducing him to Linas Vepstas, a software engineer and physicist/mathematician who has worked with Goertzel off and on [1] [2] [4]. Linas Vepstas has a PhD in physics and has authored over 400 math/physics Wikipedia pages [1] [2] [4]. On February 11, 2013, Ben Goertzel exchanged emails with Jeffrey Epstein about having a machine take IQ tests, with Goertzel suggesting that making an AGI pass these tests would be attention-grabbing in the media and scientifically compelling [3]. Ben Goertzel also emailed Masha Drokova on November 7, 2017, to arrange a breakfast meeting in Lisbon [5]. Additionally, on January 4, 2015, Ben Goertzel inquired about the status of a proposal with Richard Kahn, who was in contact with Jeffrey Epstein [6]. Ben Goertzel was staying near the waterfront in Lisbon and was planning to fly out to Prague on November 10, 2017 [5].
