The Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) is a facility where Ghislaine Maxwell was being held [1] [2] [3]. MDC legal counsel provided information to the Government regarding the conditions of Maxwell's confinement [1]. As of December 2020, MDC inmates in general population were permitted out of their cells for no more than 30 minutes per day due to a lockdown at the institution [2]. The MDC is located in New York, with addresses including 40 Foley Square and One Saint Andrew's Plaza [3]. The Government submitted letters to the Court regarding Maxwell's conditions of confinement at the MDC, including her access to discovery materials [1] [3]. MDC legal counsel was in communication with the Government and Maxwell's counsel regarding her confinement and access to legal materials [2] [4] [5].
